our story

Chapter 1

Lil Book Club was founded in 2021 by Debbie Lolla and Donna Early in Davidson, North Carolina.  Combining their passions, reading and music, they  created book clubs for children in their community.

Chapter 2

Book Club in a Box is now available for the educational community to help lil people become the best big people they can be!

Expert recommended. Parent approved. Kid loved.

Debbie and Donna worked together for many years at Woodlawn School - they are experienced educators who know how to design an engaging curriculum and deliver it to young students. In particular, their Life Skills curriculum has had a positive and influential effect on their young students. By weaving and connecting literature, art, music, and history together with a cohesive framework, we saw our young students taking risks with their feelings and developing empathy, problem resolution skills, and critical thinking abilities. Perhaps the genius behind their well-thought out program is the moment when students see beyond themselves and become active and positive members in the classroom and beyond — all while making connections between literature and other disciplines.
